Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This page explains, in plain language, what information this site collects, how it's used, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, the Contact page is the best way to ask.

The Short Version

Most of the tools on this site run entirely inside your own browser. When you use a calculator, converter, or similar tool, your files and inputs are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to any server we control. We don't ask for accounts, and we don't require you to hand over personal information to use a tool.

That said, like almost every website, this site does use cookies and works with third-party services (mainly for advertising), which is covered in more detail below.

Information We Collect

Tool usage: The tools themselves generally don't collect or store what you type, upload, or generate. Processing happens locally in your browser. A small number of tools that need to look something up (for example, searching for a location, or checking whether a web page is accessible) send only the specific piece of information needed for that lookup, and nothing beyond that is retained by us afterward.

Automatically collected data: Like most websites, standard technical information may be logged automatically — things like your general browser type, device type, and approximate location based on IP address. This is common, generic web traffic data and isn't tied to your identity.

Information you provide directly: If you contact us by email, we'll have whatever information you choose to include in that message, used only to respond to you.

Cookies and Advertising

This site displays ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. This is standard practice across most ad-supported websites.

You can learn more about how Google uses this data, and adjust your ad personalization settings, at Google's own Ads Settings page and their overview of how ads work

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on someone's prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet.

Third-Party Links

Some pages on this site may link out to other websites — for example, official documentation, or resources mentioned in an article. Once you leave this site, that other website's own privacy policy applies, not this one. We're not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please reach out through the Contact page and it will be addressed.

Data Security

Since most tools process information locally in your browser rather than on a server, there's generally nothing for us to store or secure on our end for tool usage itself. For the limited data described above (such as contact form messages), reasonable care is taken to keep that information secure.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes to the site or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continuing to use the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.

Browser Extensions

This section covers the Chrome extensions published under Tools Make Life Easy, including Advanced Auto Refresh & Page Monitor.

These extensions store all settings — refresh intervals, monitor rules, alerts, templates, and stats — locally in your own browser, using Chrome's built-in storage. If you're signed into Chrome, this data may sync across your own devices through your Google account, exactly like any other Chrome setting. We do not operate a server, and none of this data is ever sent to us or to any third party.

Advanced Auto Refresh & Page Monitor reads the text of the page you choose to refresh, or of one element you select, purely to compare it between refreshes and detect the change you asked it to watch for. This happens entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

These extensions do not collect personal information, do not track your browsing across other sites, do not use analytics, and do not sell or share data with third parties.

If you uninstall an extension, its locally stored settings are removed from your browser along with it.
